IQ Personal Injury is pleased to announce that it now offers legal help and information for victims of construction site accidents. Construction workers face many risks on the job due to the hazardous conditions present on many construction sites. Although federal laws, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), exist to protect workers’ safety and minimize the risk of accidents, thousands of construction site injuries occur each year.
Heavy equipment, such as tractors and bulldozers, underground and overhead electrical lines, and powerful tools, like nail guns, can all contribute to a construction site accident. When equipment malfunctions or workers fall from scaffolding, the severe injuries that result can be career ending and life threatening. Many construction site accidents can be prevented if the proper safety precautions are taken by the construction site owner, general contractors, subcontractors, prime contractors, design and engineering professionals, and all other individuals working on the site.
If you have been injured in a construction accident and are interested in learning more about your rights, visit IQPersonalInjury.com today and complete the Free Case Evaluation form. Many construction site injuries are covered under the workers’ compensation system. However, in some cases, a third party may be responsible for an accident that occurs on a construction site. If this is the case, the injured worker may be able to recover damages through a construction accident lawsuit. A construction accident lawyer can investigate the circumstances surrounding your injury, identify the liable parties, and ensure that you receive the full compensation to which you are entitled.
The construction injury lawyers in the IQ Personal Injury national network understand the serious consequences that a construction accident can have on your life. They can protect your rights and fight on your behalf, so that you receive compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages. The amount of time you have to file a claim may be limited by the statute of limitations, so it is important to contact a lawyer as soon as possible after your injury occurs.

When to Call a Personal Injury Lawyer
I injured in a car accident; do I need a lawyer? My surgeon operated on the wrong hand; do I need a lawyer? I was fired without reason; do I need a lawyer? In these situations, the answer is yes, you probably should call a lawyer. However, suing other people in hopes of making a buck is becoming quite an epidemic. Frivolous lawsuits without any real damage done to the plaintiff are very common. Most do not even make it past the first stage in the personal injury lawsuit process because they are ludicrous. Lawsuits with no substance are referred to as frivolous; however, there are many cases that hiring a personal injury lawyer is absolutely necessary.
If you have been harmed by someone else's negligence or wrongdoing, or if a loved one has died due to the reckless or criminal behavior of a person or company, you should definitely contact an experienced personal injury lawyer. At this time of tragedy, the last thing you need to concern yourself with is the paperwork, deadlines, and red tape that are often associated with filing a lawsuit. That's what attorneys are for. They understand the law inside and out and can explain to you your legal rights following some harm that was done to you through no fault of your own allowing you to focus on healing and/or taking care of your family.
The reasons to contact a personal injury lawyer are quite extensive, but here are some of the most common practice areas that personal injury lawyers deal with:
- Motor vehicle accidents
- Medical errors (medical malpractice/negligence)
- Wrongful death
- Dangerous/defective drugs (drugs that have been recalled)
- Defective vehicles (and tires, safety belts, braking systems, etc)
- Slips and falls on other people's property (known as premises liability law)
Even if you feel your injury is not that serious or if your tire blowing out didn't hurt anyone, that does not mean someone should not be held accountable for injury or damage that could have occurred. Manufacturers and retailers owe consumers a certain standard of care and safety.
If your surgeon operated on the wrong limb or if your pharmacist dispensed a medication you are allergic to, the parties must be held responsible. Experienced personal injury attorneys have handled thousands of these cases and they know how to fight to get you the compensation and justice you deserve.
If you feel you have suffered due to someone else's negligence then you should contact a personal injury lawyer.
If you live in the Dallas, Texas area and have been harmed due to someone else's negligence or wrongdoing, please visit the website of Dallas personal injury lawyers Polewski & Associates today to schedule a confidential, no-cost consultation.

18-wheeler causes violent five-vehicle crash in Plano
Dallas, TX-Amy K. Witherite, leading Dallas, Texas automobile accident lawyer, reports multiple people were injured in a five-vehicle wreck on Central Expressway, just north of 15th Street in Plano. A total of eight people were treated for injuries after an 18-wheeler lost control around 3:00 p.m., on Monday, December 14, 2009, as reported by WFAA TV.
According to Plano police officials, an 18-wheeler veered into the southbound HOV lanes for unknown reasons, when it slammed into a TxDOT truck located in a construction zone. The out-of-control semi-truck then hit another pickup truck, which was launched into the air over a box truck, and onto a Mazda. The TxDOT truck that was struck by the 18-wheeler was thrown into a concrete median. The impact of the collision pushed the median into the northbound lanes of traffic. A total of eight motorists were injured in the violent wreck; three were taken by emergency medical services (EMS) teams to an area hospital for treatment, while five others were treated at the scene by EMS professionals and released. Officials have not released the conditions of the injured victims, or details of their injuries at this time. The identities of the motorists are currently being withheld as well. Police investigators are reportedly conducting a full investigation into the major collision. No charges have been filed. It is unknown if the victims have sought legal representation.

New York Construction Accident Lawyer – NY Injury Law Firm
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 4 million workers got injured during the year 2005 (on job), and nearly 5,700 workers died from work-related accidents. The aim of New York City no-fault worker’s compensation program is to give financial help to workers who get hurt or lose lives while on the job. It provides them proper medical attention.
It is mandatory for New York State employers to buy the insurance cover that will provide workers’ compensation benefits to the employees in the event of an accident. This insurance covers expenditures for expenses like medical care and lost wages. But, there are several cases where several of these genuine workers injury claims get denied by insurance companies. The workers compensation case is handled by a third party insurance company that will not always be inclined to provide monetary compensation irrespective of the seriousness of your injuries.
If your workers compensation claim is denied, reduced or terminated, then you can have a hearing before a judge. This is the most crucial period and the faulty party will hire a strong defense attorney to terminate your claim. And, in case you find yourself in just such a situation, then you should speak to your workers compensation lawyer who will help you get justice and compensation.
Workers injury compensation claim provides cover for injuries, and that includes injury claims from an accident on the job. Worker compensation lawsuit can be filed in various other types of injuries like stress-related problems, tunnel syndrome, carpal back problems, mental health issues, heart attacks, or strokes. These could be indirectly related to the inferior health and hygiene standards followed by your employer.
If you are working for a New York employer and get injured on the job, then you can avail the benefits of the workers compensation claim and will be eligible for workers compensation benefits irrespective of whether you are working as a full-time, part-time, temporary, or as any other undocumented employee.
If you are fatally injured due to the negligence of your employer, then contact your workers compensation lawyer who will help you get justice and compensation. Your injury lawyer will help you with the workers compensation for Supplemental Short-Term Disability, Long-term Disability, Social Security Disability, New York City and New York State Retirement Disability.

Can You Bring A Claim For A 'Footie' Injury?
With the amateur football season in full swing again injuries are a given so can you bring a claim if you suffer a broken leg or ankle or a long-term knee ligament damage?
Not necessarily, says Kent personal injury lawyer Neille Ryan. “Not every tackle resulting in injury is actionable – in fact even a foul wouldn’t automatically guarantee a successful claim.”
Neille, personal injury partner at leading regional law firm Furley Page, stresses that the victim of an injury has to prove that the perpetrator was playing with “an almost reckless disregard” for the safety of other players.
He goes on: “Witness evidence is crucial from fellow players, spectators and ideally the referee as well - and a yellow or red card would strengthen a claim. But you need to bear in mind that if the perpetrator isn’t insured how would they afford to pay damages which might be awarded against them?”
And a final word of warning. Don’t be tempted by ads on satellite TV if you’re thinking of making a claim as companies very often conduct initial enquiries through call centres using staff with few, if any, legal qualifications.
“A careful internet search will easily lead you to a specialist personal injury solicitor who will offer you free initial advice,” says Neille.

William Morgan Personal Injury Lawyer in Salem Oregon inspired by his own tragedy
William Morgan and his wife wife were in an accident just after their wedding. Their car flipped end over end off an embankment at high speed. “That was a very hard time for us,” said William Morgan. “We both ended up hospitalized far from home”. Though they were injured, they felt secure believing that their insurance company would work to take care of their needs. While their insurance company had advertised that they would be in “Good Hands,” William Morgan states, “Our hopes led to disappointment after disappointment as our insurance company’s handling of our claim showed us they only cared about receiving our premiums.”
They learned that the friendly agent who sold them the policy was just that . . . a sales person. When they presented their claim, a trained and skilled claims adjuster went to work trying to make them feel like we were being taken care of while actually providing us with insufficient benefits.
That was over 20 years ago. Bill Morgan wasn’t an attorney yet and did not seek legal assistance. That was a huge mistake. Since then their family has grown but Bill’s wife has endured back pain resulting from that accident all of those years. Bill often wishes that he would have done it right and received competent legal help to assist him in working through the frustrations of dealing with an insurance company who trained their adjusters to make people feel grateful to them for providing amazingly insufficient help in a time of real need.
It is that experience that inspired Bill Morgan to help people who are suffering from injuries and frustrated with the process. He saw that he could do so in an honest, fervent manner. Bill focuses is team’s efforts on assisting those who have been injured in an accident.
If you are in an accident, make sure you find a good personal injury lawyer to represent you. Good attorney’s will fight for you and make sure that you don’t end up empty handed down the road a few years later when aches and pains can surface that were a direct cause from your injury.
